Overview
About this Spot
Diggers Beach is a surf spot located in New South Wales, Australia. This beach is known for its sandy bottom and provides both left and right waves, making it suitable for surfers of all experience levels. The waves break regularly with a length of less than 50 meters, and the spot is generally not crowded, attracting only a few surfers. The beach is small, stretching a few hundred meters, with a nudist beach located at the northern end. The southern corner of Diggers Beach features a strong rip current that can pull surfers straight out to the back, making it a convenient spot to catch waves without paddling through the lineup. However, surfers should be cautious of the local grommets and longboarders, as they can pose a hazard. The beach is accessible by turning off the highway at the Big Banana and heading east for a few hundred meters to reach the car park. It’s important to lock your car and leave nothing in view when parking. Surfers should also be aware of the presence of rips, undertows, and sharks in the area. Before heading out, check the surf forecast, report, map, and webcam to ensure conditions are suitable for your skill level. Always respect the locals and remember to follow surf etiquette, especially in crowded spots. Check your skills before paddling out to make sure the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. Nearby surf spots include Taylars Reef, Park Beach, North Beach, Hills Beach, and North Wall Beach. Respect the locals.
