About this Spot
Injidup right is a surf spot located in South West Australia, Australia. This spot is known for its consistent waves and is a regional classic, making it a popular destination for surfers looking for reliable conditions. The wave at Injidup right breaks over a coral reef and sand bottom, providing a unique surfing experience. The wave direction is left, and the wave length is typically less than 50 meters, which makes it suitable for intermediate surfers. The spot is relatively uncrowded, offering a more relaxed surfing environment. When the conditions are right, Injidup right produces clean barrels with a long wall on the bigger sets, making it an exciting spot to surf. However, surfers should be cautious of the rocks and rips in the area, as well as the undertow. It’s important to bail out of the wave once it starts to weaken to avoid the rocky shore. Injidup right is shark protected, and dolphins are known to visit the area frequently, sometimes dropping in on surfers when the surf is pumping. To reach Injidup right, turn right off Caves Rd into Wyadup Road and follow it down to Cape Clairault Rd, then turn left and continue to the Injidup carpark. From there, look to the right to find the break with rocks on the shore. Access to the spot is via a steep path, and it’s important to note that 4WDs are recommended for the dirt track leading to Mitchells, another nearby spot. As Injidup right is located in a National Park, dogs are not allowed, and the Ranger visits frequently. Surfers should always check their skills before paddling out to ensure the spot and conditions match their surfing level. Additionally, it’s important to respect the locals and adhere to surf etiquette, especially in crowded spots. Remember to check the surf forecast, report, and map before heading out, and consider using a webcam to get a live view of the conditions. Respect the locals.
