Froggys is a surf spot located in Queensland, Australia. This spot is known for its unique characteristics, making it a popular choice among bodyboarders. The wave direction at Froggys is right, and the bottom consists of sand and rocks. It is suitable for all tides, but surfers should be cautious during low tide, especially if using a stand-up board with large fins. The quality of the waves is considered regional classic, and the spot is best suited for intermediate surfers. Froggys is known for its very consistent wave frequency, with wave lengths typically less than 50 meters. The crowd at this spot is usually empty, providing a more relaxed surfing experience. Nearby surf spots include Point Danger, Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay, Kirra, and Point Danger. Froggys is set up on a rock wall, which can create a unique surfing experience. When the bank forms, the swell reaches a manmade rock wall pool, causing waves to bounce off and create a backwash effect. This can launch riders above the wave, offering thrilling rides a few times a year. The spot is mostly frequented by bodyboarders, and the shallow sandbar can lead to being washed into the rock wall. Surfers should be aware of the rock wall just a few feet from the take-off zone and the local surfers, who may not be welcoming to outsiders. Froggys is located just around the corner from Snapper Rocks, and it can be accessed by heading towards Snapper Rocks and following the path to the other side. The spot is approximately a 10-meter paddle from the front of the rocks.
