To reach the spot, you can take the C302 route, also known as Coles Bay Road, which runs through the locality. The surf at Friendly Beaches features right-hand waves breaking over a sand and rock bottom, making it suitable for surfers of all experience levels. The wave length is typically less than 50 meters, offering a normal quality surfing experience.
