Overview
About this Spot
The Spot is a surf spot located in the Perth Area, Australia, near Two Rocks in the Wanneroo region. The spot features a left-hand reef break along a southern calcarenite reef, with a mix of sand and rocks on the bottom. The beach stretches for about 3.2 kilometers north, with Unwin Shoals in the middle and Leeman’s Landing at the northern end, finishing at Wreck Point. The area is backed by vegetated dunes rising up to 20 meters and extending up to 5 kilometers inland. The main wave is a left, often tubing or good for turns, and on bigger days a short, fast, and hollow right can appear, which is better suited for experienced surfers. On higher tides, you might find a few other peaks to each side of the main left. The wave length ranges from 150 to 300 meters. The spot works best with a southwest or west swell, a minimum swell height of 2 feet, and wind from the northeast or east. The best time to surf here is in winter. The best tide is usually medium. Boards like shortboards, mid and retro boards, and longboards are all used here. The crowd is usually light, but weekends can get busy with drop-ins, so it’s important to respect the locals and follow surf etiquette, especially when the spot is crowded. Localism is present, so being friendly is recommended. Check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and conditions match your level. The area has several other surf spots nearby, including Super Sprayz, Club Cap, Rafts, Yanchep Locals, and Yanchep Doggies Beach.
