Overview
About this Spot
Beachport is a surf spot located in South Australia, Australia. It is situated at the northern end of Rivoli Bay, about 311 kilometers southeast of Adelaide and 34 kilometers northwest of Millicent. The spot provides both left and right waves, making it suitable for surfers of all levels. The waves break over a sandy bottom and can range in length from 50 to 150 meters. The area is known for having few surfers, so you can enjoy the waves without much crowd. The main carpark, which includes a toilet block, is a convenient place to start your surf session. From there, you can find a peak to the right that breaks cleanly left and right, offering barrels off the peak before crumbling. To the left of the carpark, there is also a nice left-hand wave. Beachport is a regional classic surf spot, and it’s important to check the surf etiquette when the spot is crowded. Additionally, always check your skills before paddling out to make sure the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. Nearby surf spots include Salmon Hole, Blowhole, Drums, Southend, and Cullens. Beachport is also known for its large crayfishing fleet and its 772-meter-long jetty, the second-longest in South Australia. The town’s Norfolk pines, white sand beach, and clear waters are attractive to visitors. Respect the locals.
