Serangan is a surf spot located in Bali, Indonesia. The spot provides both left and right waves. Serangan is situated on a small island about 500 meters south of Denpasar, connected to the mainland by a road bridge. The island is approximately 2.9 km long and 1 km wide. The surf spot features a coral reef bottom and is suitable for all levels of experience. Waves at Serangan are typically less than 50 meters in length. The spot can get crowded, so it’s important to check the surf etiquette before paddling out. Serangan is also known as Turtle Island and is home to one of Bali’s six most sacred temples, Pura Dalem Sakenan. To reach the surf spot, turn onto a bumpy road from the ByPass and head towards Turtle Island. Pass the garbage depot and continue straight until you reach an area resembling a rocky desert. The beach houses will soon come into view. Locals may ask for a small fee for using the road. Be aware of sea urchins in the area and respect the local surfing community.
