The spot’s length is less than 50m, and it’s usually uncrowded. To surf at Paradise Cove, you need to be a resident or a visitor of a resident, as it’s a private beach. Check your skills before paddling out to make sure the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. The surf spot is located about 150 yards north of the restaurant and pier in Paradise Cove. To get there, take Pacific Coast Highway past Malibu towards Point Dume and turn left into Paradise Cove. If the swell is really good, consider checking out Little Dume instead. Paradise Cove Beach is accessible from Pacific Coast Highway via a private road and parking lot owned by Paradise Cove Land Company. The beach operates from 8 am to sunset. Surfing is permitted here, but remember to respect the locals and follow surf etiquette. Paradise Cove offers various amenities, including beach rentals, a restaurant, and a fully stocked bar. Visitors can rent beach beds, chairs, umbrellas, and terraces. Parking is available on-site for a fee. The area is known for its picturesque setting, with the Paradise Cove pier and surrounding cliffs adding to its scenic beauty. Besides surfing, the beach is popular for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, tidepooling, and beachcombing. Dogs are not allowed on the property or at the beach. Interestingly, Paradise Cove was used as a filming location for the 1970 American independent outlaw biker film ‘The Rebel Rousers’, starring Cameron Mitchell, Jack Nicholson, and Bruce Dern.
