About this Spot

Beach break located in Viareggio, near the square called Piazza Mazzini. It offers a series of shifting sand peaks that can provide very good lefts and rights. It is sheltered by the port and thus is the place to go with south winds when all the other nearby spots are choppy. The best conditions for surfing at Piazza Mazzini occur when the swell comes from the south, southwest, or west. Additionally, the spot benefits from wind directions of northeast, east, southeast, or south. Can be crowded, especially when all the nearby spots are too windy. Respect the local crew.
