About this Spot

Mostly known as a right-hander, Garagolo can provide also good rides on the left. It can become an heavy beast as the size increases, providing barrelling sections and a fast takeoff. When big, you can connect the left to the wave behind the pier, just passing really close to the rocks and the pier: dangerous but worth trying. Pay attention to the shallow rocky bottom. Can be dangerous for beginners, so stay away. The best conditions for surfing at Garagolo are achieved when the swell comes from the southwest, west, or northwest directions. In terms of wind direction, northeast, east, southeast, and south winds contribute to the optimal surfing conditions. Respect the local crew.
