Right hander that delivers perfect waves a few times a year. The wave breaks next to the jetty, the bottom is sandy with some rocks from the jetty. The spot is best surfed when the swell direction is from the southwest or west. Optimal wind conditions occur when the wind is blowing from the northeast or east. Broken Ass is not typically crowded. The suggested types of boards to surf this spot are mid and retro boards, or longboards.
