About this Spot
Crystal Beach Break is a surf spot located in Luzon, Philippines, in the area of San Narciso, Zambales. The spot is found at Crystal Beach Resort, about 2-3 hours from Manila by car or bus. To get there, take the North Luzon Expressway, continue to Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, then head north through Olongapo, Subic, Castillejos, and San Marcelino before reaching San Narciso. The surf spot has a sandy bottom and works at all tides. The spot provides both left and right waves. The wave length ranges from 50 to 150 meters. Crystal Beach Break is generally empty, but always respect the locals and check the surf etiquette, especially if the spot gets crowded. The spot is suitable for all levels, but it is important to check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. The best time to surf here is during the north swell season, when the waves are more consistent and clean. During the south swell, the conditions are usually choppy and not ideal for surfing. For good surf, check the forecast and report before you go, and look for swell heights of at least 3-5 feet. If the swell is smaller, the waves may not be worth the trip. Be aware of rips and undertow, and always check the map and webcam for current conditions. The spot is close to other surf spots like High 5 Lahar, Pundakit, and Chelsea’s Point. Crystal Beach Resort offers surfboard rentals and lessons, as well as different types of accommodation. The area is less crowded than other surf spots, but always be cautious in the water and respect the local surf community.
