Punta Corrientes is a surf spot located in Lima, Peru. The spot is found along the coast and is known for its consistent surf conditions, making it a reliable place to check the surf forecast, report, map, and webcam before heading out. The beach is private and features mostly right waves that are powerful and fast, but sometimes there are lefts, especially when the swell is bigger. On bigger days, tubular rights can reach up to 3 meters, and the beach can see waves up to 4 meters or more, though the usual size is between 1.5 and 2 meters. The bottom is sandy, and the spot works on all tides. The length of the ride is generally less than 50 meters. The spot is considered a regional classic and is best suited for intermediate surfers. The crowd is usually empty, but it is important to respect the locals and always check the surf etiquette when the spot gets crowded. There is a secret area on the right side of the beach, accessible by walking past some houses and down to a small beach between two rock cliffs, where you can find challenging lefts with rocks in the water. Sometimes the waves here are good for bodyboarders who like heavier conditions. The climate is generally good, but it can get very cold at times. The area is safe for parking, and there are other activities available like mountain biking and various sports courts nearby. The spot is close to other surf locations such as Puerto Fiel, Palillos, Cerro Azul, Sarapampa, and Asia del Mar.
