Margaret River Point is a surf spot located in South West Australia. The spot is also known as Surfers Point or Main Break and sits about 10 kilometers west of the town of Margaret River. The bottom is coral reef, and the spot works on all tides. The surf here is world classic quality and is best suited for advanced surfers. The spot is not good for beginners due to the powerful waves and challenging conditions. Boards commonly used are shortboards, mid and retro boards, and sometimes guns. The wave length ranges from 150 to 300 meters. The spot is very consistent, and it can get crowded, especially during good swells. When the surf is big, only experienced surfers should paddle out, and the spot can be less crowded on those days. The paddle out can take more than 20 minutes, or you can reach the spot by boat.
