Overview
About this Spot
Whites is a surf spot located in New South Wales, Australia. This secluded beach break is known for its remote location and can be accessed by heading south from Broken Head along a dirt road. The last car park before you head down into Seven Mile Beach is where you can park, and from there, take the path down to the beach. It’s advisable to wear shoes as the track can be rough. Whites offers both left and right waves, making it a versatile spot for surfers. The waves can get hollow, short, and punchy, providing a regular surfing experience suitable for all levels. The bottom is sandy, and the spot works on all tides. Despite its normal quality, the surf here can sometimes be worse than anticipated, and you won’t see the surf until you’re halfway down the track to the beach. The length of the wave is typically less than 50 meters, and the spot is often empty due to its secluded nature. Nearby surf spots include Broken Head, Suffolk Park, Tallow Beach, Lennox Head, and The Wreck. It’s important to check the surf forecast, report, and map before heading out, and a webcam might help in assessing the conditions. Remember to check your skills before paddling out to make sure the spot and conditions fit your surfing level. Also, be mindful of the surf etiquette, especially when surfing crowded spots. Respect the locals.
