The surf here is consistent, with waves usually ranging from 1 to 1.5 meters and sometimes reaching up to 3 meters during bigger swells. The spot provides both left and right waves. The best surf forecast for The Spit Mooloolaba is when swells come from the northeast, east, or southeast, with a minimum swell height of 4 feet, and the best wind direction is from the east, southeast, or south. The break works on all tides and is good for a variety of boards, including shortboards, mid and retro boards, and longboards. The length of the ride is usually less than 50 meters.
