Overview
About this Spot
Serua Rights is a surf spot located in Fiji and Islands, Fiji. The spot is found in the Kadavu Passage and is only accessible by boat. The wave breaks on an outer coral reef and peels into deeper water, with rides that can reach between 50 and 150 meters. The surf spot provides right waves. The take-off is mellow, and as you move inside, the wave reforms and can create a hollow section, especially when a lump forms from the opposite direction. The inside reef is quite shallow, so after the barrel section, it is important to exit the wave as it finishes over shallow coral. The bottom is coral reef, and the spot works at all tides. The wave quality is best with a south swell and offshore winds from the north-northwest. The spot is usually empty, but always respect the locals and check the surf etiquette if it gets crowded. The area is managed in agreement with the local village, and Waidroka Bay Resort is the main access point, located about two hours from Nadi on the Coral Coast. The boat parks in a spot that is good for barrel photos. When surfing here, you need to keep cutting back into the foam and stay with the wave, as the ride is not finished until you reach the inside section. Be aware of the sharp coral reef and check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and conditions match your level. Nearby surf spots include Pipes, Beachouse, Frigates Passage, Hideaway, and Sigatoka Rivermouth.
