North Beach is a surf spot located in Durban, South Africa, along the city’s Golden Mile between Bay of Plenty and Dairy Beach. The spot is managed by the Durban Surf Lifesaving Club and is flanked by two large piers, with easy access from the Marine Parade. The bottom is sand, and the spot works on all tides. North Beach is a regional classic and is popular with longboarders, with a regular crowd surfing here most mornings. The surf spot provides right waves. The length of the ride is usually less than 50 meters. North Beach is zoned as a swimming beach, so surfing is allowed before the bathing area opens in the morning or after it closes in the evening.
