Señoritas

Señoritas is a surf spot located in Lima, Peru, in the Punta Hermosa district about 50 kilometers south of Lima city. The spot is known for its left point break with waves that can reach up to three meters, making it a place for intermediate surfers. The bottom is made of boulders and rocks, and there are sea urchins, so be careful when entering and exiting the water. The best surf conditions are during low and medium tide, especially in the winter months like June, when south-southwest swells and northeast offshore winds create regular, clean waves. The average water temperature is around 20.4°C. The wave length is usually less than 50 meters. Señoritas can get extremely crowded when the surf is pumping, so respect the locals and always check the surf etiquette when the spot is busy. The spot is considered a regional classic and has a hollow, powerful, and tubular section when the conditions are right. The crowd is usually few surfers, but it can increase during good swells. Access is via the old Panamericana Sur highway, turning right at kilometer 45 to reach Punta Hermosa, and the beach is accessible by all types of vehicles. There are no commercial amenities directly on the beach, but you can find food and services in nearby areas like La Planicie or the center of Punta Hermosa. Seafood is available at reasonable prices in the area. The landscape is nice, and the beach is clean and safe. Nearby surf spots include Caballeros, Pico Alto, Playa Norte, Playa El Silencio, and El Paso.
