About this Spot

Villa is a surf spot located in Lima, Peru, known for its exposed beach break with a sandy bottom. The spot provides both left and right waves. Surfing at Villa is possible all year, but the best conditions are usually found in winter, especially in February, when a southwest swell and northeast offshore winds line up. Waves can reach up to 4 meters and sometimes even more during big swells, so it is important to check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and the conditions match your level. The wave is powerful and can close out, especially on bigger days, and you might face strong longshore currents and rip currents. On small days, the wave is more manageable, but it still has power and shape. The spot is less crowded than other Lima surf spots, but you may find more people in summer and very few in winter. Always respect the locals, especially when the spot is crowded, and check the surf etiquette before entering the water. There are lifeguards present in summer, but in winter the beach can be empty. Pollution can be an issue, so be aware of water quality. Access to Villa is straightforward: head south from Lima to Chorrillos, go through the urbanization called La Encantada, and follow signs to the Country Club de Villa. If you can’t enter through the club, there is an entrance at the side. Parking is available near the beach, making it easy to get ready for your session. The beach is mostly sand with several peaks, and you can find nearby surf spots like La Herradura, Caplina, Regatas, Triangulo, and Ala Moana. For the latest surf forecast, report, map, and webcam updates, check local surf resources before heading out. Always surf with others and avoid going alone, especially on big days.
