About this Spot
K11 is a surf spot located in South Morocco, near the village of Aourir and a few kilometers south of Agadir. The spot is found to the left of K12 and is easy to reach by walking from Aourir, just look for the rocks that go out to sea to the right of the king’s palace. Parking is available above the spot. The break features a left wave over a bottom that is mostly rocks with some sand. The wave is powerful and hollow, and the spot is best suited for intermediate and advanced surfers, not recommended for beginners. The length of the ride is between 50 and 150 meters. The spot works best on medium and high tides. Boards commonly used here are shortboards, mid-lengths, and retro boards. The spot breaks sometimes, so it is important to check the forecast before heading out. The best swell directions are southwest, west, and northwest, with a minimum swell height of 4 feet needed for the spot to work well. The best wind directions are northeast, east, and southeast. The water is clear and the beach is known for being clean. The crowd is moderate, but it can get busier on weekends. The local surf community is active, and you will often find bodyboarders in the water. Respect the locals, especially when the spot is crowded, and always follow surf etiquette. If you show skill and respect, you will be welcomed, but showing aggression or not making full use of the wave can lead to tension with locals, especially bodyboarders.
