Crocro is a surf spot located in South Morocco, Morocco, near the village of Tamraght and about 20 kilometers north of Agadir. The spot gets its name from rocks that look like crocodile heads. Crocro is a beach break with a sandy bottom. The spot provides both left and right waves. The wave length usually ranges from 50 to 150 meters. The spot works best with medium and high tides. The waves here are generally of ordinary power, and the spot is good for all levels, including beginners. Beginners often use the inside peaks, while more experienced surfers can try the outside sections. Boards commonly used at Crocro include beginner boards, softboards, shortboards, mid and retro boards, and longboards. The spot has a regular frequency of surfable waves. The crowd is moderate, so you might find other surfers in the water, especially during good conditions. The beach is wide and covered with soft golden sand, giving plenty of space to spread out. Crocro is easy to reach, with a walk of less than five minutes from nearby accommodations. There are several surf schools and camps in the area, offering lessons and equipment rentals. The best swell direction for Crocro is southwest or west, with a minimum swell height of 2 feet needed for decent waves. The best wind direction is northeast or east. Nearby surf spots include Devil’s Rock, Plage Tamraght, Spiders, Banana Point, and Banana Beach. Always respect the locals, especially when the spot is crowded, and make sure to follow surf etiquette.
