It’s situated in East Java, within the Alas Purwo National Park, about an hour away from the G-Land surf camps. The spot can be reached by foot or by arranging local transportation. Tiger Tracks Lefts is a left-hand reef break that works best during mid to high tides. The wave breaks over a coral reef, so surfers should be cautious. It’s most favorable with swell sizes around 3 feet, particularly from the southwest direction, complemented by southeast winds. The spot is suitable for all levels of surfers, including intermediates looking for a less crowded alternative to G-Land breaks. The wave length is less than 50m, and the spot sometimes breaks. The bottom consists of coral reef and sand. Tiger Tracks Lefts is known for having few surfers, offering a more secluded surfing experience. The national park is home to diverse wildlife, adding to the natural appeal of the location. There’s a reasonable left about 200m to the east of Tiger Tracks, across the channel. This wave is a bit longer and has a nice shape, breaking from 2-5 feet over about 50-100m. It needs a big swell to break and higher tides, and might hold a bit bigger than Tiger Tracks. When surfing here, always check the surf forecast and report before paddling out. Respect the locals and follow surf etiquette, especially if the spot gets crowded. Check your skills before entering the water to ensure the spot and conditions match your surfing level. Remember to consult a surf map for precise locations and consider checking if there’s a surf webcam available for real-time conditions.
