Despite its quality, the spot is often empty, providing a more solitary surfing experience. Nearby surf spots include Calafia, Teresitas, K38, Las Gaviotas, and Raul. When visiting Mushrooms, surfers should be aware of the presence of sea urchins and rocks, as well as the potential for localism and sharks. The weather is typically warm and hot, making it a pleasant environment for surfing. Access to the spot is private, but you can reach it by heading to the Calafia hotel, finding locals at the gate, and paying them to park. From there, walk down the stairs from the cliff to reach the surf spot.
