The spot is easy to reach by train, with Kugenuma-Kaigan Station on the Odakyu Enoshima Line just a short walk from the beach. The beach has a sandy bottom and stretches for about one kilometer. The waves break over sand and are suitable for all levels, with conditions that can be good for beginners, especially on smaller days. Boards commonly used here include beginner boards, softboards, shortboards, mid and retro boards, and longboards. The wave length ranges from 50 to 150 meters. The spot works best with swells from the southeast, south, and southwest, with a minimum swell height of 2 feet, and the best wind direction is from the north and northeast. The spot works at all tides but is often best at low tide. There are several nearby surf spots, including Chi Pa, Shonan, Shichirigahama, Inamuragasaki, and Osaki. Facilities at the beach include shower areas, beach volleyball courts, and a range of restaurants and surf shops nearby. Local surf schools offer lessons, and the area has a friendly vibe, but localism can be present, especially when the spot is crowded. Always check your skills before paddling out, be sure that the spot and the conditions match your level. Make sure to respect the locals and follow surf etiquette, especially when the lineup is busy.
